Further Production Technician Fort Smith, Specialty Pack, Day Shift (Finance)

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate on a moving conveyor belt, using both hands to spread or style product on the belt.
2. Perform various packing and weighing tasks.
3. Remove bones from products; inspect, grade, and discard products that do not meet quality standards.
4. Participate as a team member. Engage in the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. Coordinate work to ensure best practices with team members. Attend team meetings and foster cohesiveness on issues such as direction, planning, and policies. Identify and address areas lacking cohesiveness, working supportively with team leaders to resolve issues and achieve organizational synergy.
5. Understand Simmons Operating Systems principles and objectives. Be familiar with company systems related to quality, security, environment, policies, and LEAN principles. Recognize the impact of individual actions on these systems and communicate concerns or improvement ideas.
6. Support business objectives. Perform other duties as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and creativity beyond the outlined responsibilities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Must be able to move, push, or pull up to 55 pounds, and bend, stoop, walk, stand, and work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty environments throughout the shift. The role involves repetitive motions and rotating through different temperature zones.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

Use waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, slip-resistant footwear, and other PPE as required.
