Job summary

Bassett Furniture Industries is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, and organize new furniture and accessories, rewrap and relocate returned items, and assist with delivery-related tasks.

You will work under the Warehouse Manager, ensuring inventory accuracy, safe handling, and efficient put-away. The role requires teamwork, attention to safety, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds with and without assistive devices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload, stage, and receive new merchandise using a bar code scanner.
• Inspect damaged cartons and assess condition.
• Place new merchandise in proper racks; pick for delivery or pickup.
• Assemble merchandise as needed and inspect for defects.
• Assist with loading items into customer vehicles; drive/forklift if authorized.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; operate forklift with safety course.
