Job summary

Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support loading, unloading, organizing furniture and accessories, and wrapping/relocating returned items. You will operate a forklift daily, inspect merchandise, and ensure accurate inventory using a barcode scanner.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager, work as part of a team, and help with deliveries and customer pickups. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus strong communication and safety-consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, staging, and receiving merchandise using a barcode scanner.
• Inspecting damaged cartons and assessing damage.
• Locating merchandise in racks and preparing for delivery or pickup.
• Picking furniture for delivery and customer pickup using reports.
• Assembling merchandise and inspecting for defects.
• Assisting with loading vehicles for pickup and deliveries.
• Operating forklift (training/safety course required).
• Maintaining a clean, safe warehouse and supporting floor moves.
