Position Overview

The Furniture Repair Technician position is based in Taunton, MA.

Responsibilities

• Inspect upholstery and furniture repairs, including burns-ins, wood staining, and finishing.
• Perform repairs to ensure quality assurance for home deliveries.
• Color match on top surfaces and apply sealers and topcoats properly.
• Polish topcoats to vendor specifications.
• Address cross grain scratches, burn-in, and rub-out issues.
• Apply finishes using spray guns.
• Conduct minor to complex repairs (wood repair, touch-up, burn-in, fill sticks, etc.) to meet standards.
• Color-match paints and finishes for wood products, using lacquers for various gloss levels.
• Organize tools and repair materials, ensuring safety and professionalism.
• Assemble/deluxe furniture and stage items prior to delivery as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of furniture assembly experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualities

• Experience with painting, wood repair, or craftsmanship.
• Self-motivated, team player, able to work under pressure.
• Availability for full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Furniture repair skills assessment may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for 90% of the day.
