Position Summary
Why is the Repair Technician role crucial? When surgical instruments are properly maintained, surgeons can focus on patient care. STERIS offers various repair solutions, including onsite mobile repair, in-house repair labs, and national repair centers.
This is a remote, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in Louisiana or Texas to support and service customers in these territories.
What You Will Do :
Perform basic to intermediate inspections and repairs on surgical instruments using various tools and techniques. Repair complexity will vary. Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential.
You will work in the field on a mobile repair truck, inside a repair lab, or within a hospital, depending on customer needs. You must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and work comfortably in small mobile workspaces.
Frequent trips inside hospitals are required, and weather conditions may vary.
Support various locations within the assigned territory based on service agreements and customer needs.
