Job summary

Capris Furniture Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Production & Prototyping Manager to support our manufacturing operations and product development initiatives.

The role involves overseeing daily production, leading prototype development, and coordinating with engineering/design teams to improve efficiency and quality. Hands-on prototyping experience and strong leadership are essential for growth within our organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of furniture manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or production leadership experience.
• Prototyping experience is mandatory, from concept through production.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction methods, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate workflow between production, engineering, design, and quality teams.
• Oversee development, construction, testing, and refinement of furniture prototypes.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Support training and development of production personnel.
