Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Experience evaluating, designing, testing, or improving packaging for furniture, home furnishings, and other high-value products.
• Knowledge of ISTA standards and packaging/testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject-matter expert for furniture packaging, protection, and damage prevention.
• Evaluate packaging throughout the distribution journey and identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop practical packaging solutions using corrugated materials, foam, cushioning, and protective systems.
• Coordinate testing with customers, suppliers, and third-party laboratories.
• Provide data-backed recommendations and support packaging validation.
