Job summary

JLL is hiring a Furniture Manager/Relocation Project Manager for our San Jose portfolio. The role oversees furniture management, relocation planning, and expense projects, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams on-site in San Jose, CA.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in furniture project management, strong inventory and procurement knowledge, and excellent organizational and communication skills to deliver complex relocations within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in furniture project management, preferably in commercial real estate or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture inventory management best practices, including inventory, space planning, furniture procurement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their relocation needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive furniture project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Plan and manage successfully furniture projects, inventories and relocations up to 1,000 people and expense projects up to 100K.
  • Perform data input into the Corrigo system and Asana to maintain project information
  • Coordinate and manage all stages of the furniture management process, from initial planning to post-installation evaluation.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure a seamless relocation experience.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate existing facilities and identify potential issues or opportunities.
  • Coordinate logistics, such as space planning, furniture procurement, IT infrastructure setup, equipment installations and expense projects.
  • Manage and track the progress of multiple furniture and expense projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Provide regular communication and updates to clients, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve any challenges or issues that may arise during the project process.
  • Conduct post-installation and project evaluations to assess the success of the project and identify areas for improvement.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Furniture Manager/Relocation Project Manager for our client based in San Jose. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of furniture management, relocation and expense project process for our client's portfolio in the San Jose Region. This is a dynamic role that requires meticulous planning, excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively lead geographically dispersed projects.

Responsibilities:

Estimated compensation for this position:

115,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
