Broad River Retail is hiring a Furniture Handler Trainee to join the Operations Team at our distribution center. The role involves unloading and loading furniture, scanning items into inventory with an RF scanner, and assessing merchandise for damages before delivery to customers.

The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly. A customer service mindset and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role at our non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Qualifications

• Must have manual dexterity and the ability to maneuver furniture.
• Ability to listen to and follow directions.

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture at the warehouse loading dock without damaging products.
• Unload furniture manually or with hand trucks.
• Identify and communicate any damages to merchandise.
• Sort items by size, type, or product code and receive inventory via RF scanner.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of building, grounds, and equipment.
