Job summary

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Handler Specialist in Cary, NC to join the IQ OPS Team. Responsibilities include loading/unloading furniture, receiving inventory with barcodes, assembling showroom items, and wrapping sold products for pickup or transfer.

Candidates must perform physical labor in a warehouse setting, lift up to 75 pounds, and maintain safety. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/life insurance, PTO, 401K matching, and employee discounts after conversion.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and capacity to maneuver furniture.
• Ability to listen to and follow directions and instructions.
• Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the shift, physical labor and customer service mindset.
• Oral communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Adaptability for changes in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Loads & unloads trucks at warehouse and retail locations manually or with hand trucks without damaging products.
• Identify and communicate any physical damage to IQ Ops Professional
• Use barcode scanner to systemically receive inventory.
• Assemble items for showroom display
• Disassemble and/or wrap sold product for customer pick up or transfer.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, tools and equipment as an area of pride.
• Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities with a desire to Furnish Life’s best Memories for our internal and external customers.
• Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and safety guidelines.
• Operating recycling machinery.
• Sorting and processing dunnage.
