Job summary

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Equipment Operator Trainee to join our Operations Team. You will safely operate a stock picker lift and other material handling equipment in a non climate controlled warehouse, with some outdoor exposure. You will tag, receive, and cycle count inventory while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The role emphasizes following directions, maintaining cleanliness, and taking on cross-training to support growth within the company, with benefits after conversion.

Qualifications

  • Certification to operate stock picker and sit-down forklifts.
  • Manual dexterity and capacity to maneuver furniture.
  • Experience working in warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate material handling equipment and stock picker lift.
  • Recognize and adhere to proper product orientation.
  • Safely load and unload products for distribution or storage.
  • Accurately receive and tag products for distribution or storage.
  • Identify and communicate defective products and packaging and process accordingly.
  • Perform cycle counts of physical inventory.
  • Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness.
  • Follow attendance policies; accept cross-training opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The position is responsible for operating a stock picker lift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.
