Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Alvin, TX seeks a Furnace Engineer to lead ethylene cracking furnace technology at Chocolate Bayou Works. You will own furnace technology, optimize performance, and guide safety, reliability, and capital projects for CBW's olefins furnaces.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Chemical Engineering and at least 4 years in petrochemical or fired equipment/process engineering, with experience in furnace optimization and capital project development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead CBW furnace technology ownership and maintain design basis documentation and operating guidelines.
• Drive furnace performance improvements including yield, conversion, and energy efficiency.
• Support capital projects and develop long-term furnace replacement, revamp, and modernization strategies.
• Provide process safety leadership and support for PHA/LOPA/MOC and furnace safeguards.
