G&W Electric is seeking a Furnace Operator to regulate temperatures, mix alloys, and manage heats for precise casting quality. You will add fluxes, degas metal, and monitor temperatures to ensure proper pouring and QC records.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, English instruction comprehension, and favorable experience in manufacturing or foundry environments. The role entails heavy physical work in a state-of-the-art facility with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and ability to follow instructions.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Experience in manufacturing or foundry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regulate furnace temperature and mix alloys to correct proportions.
• Add fluxes and master alloys to each heat.
• Degas metal and test for gas presence.
• Pour molten metal at proper temperature into molds.
• Record temperatures and treatment additions for quality control.
• Remove slag and transport metal to molding lines.
