Job summary

ITW Ramset is seeking a Heat Treat / Plating / Waste Treatment Technician to operate furnaces, plating systems, and wastewater treatment equipment. You will monitor quality, run start-ups and shutdowns, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure uptime and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires reading work instructions, simple computer use, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Training may lead to night shifts with differential pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of manufacturing, production, industrial processing, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete production documentation and inventory transactions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to perform physical job requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treat furnaces, plating systems, black dip equipment, wastewater treatment systems, evaporators, and related production equipment.
• Monitor product quality and process parameters to ensure fasteners meet Ramset specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, routine adjustments, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to support uninterrupted operations.
• Treat wastewater and handle chemicals in accordance with company procedures and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory transactions, load documentation, and material usage information.
• Support a safe, team-oriented manufacturing environment by operating forklifts, training team members as needed, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. The starting pay for this position is $22.00 per hour. Initial training may be conducted on the day shift. Upon successful completion of training and transition to the night shift, employees will receive an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.
