Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Furnace Tender for the 2nd shift in Sheboygan, WI. This onsite, union facility requires operating, inspecting, and cleaning furnaces, with setting up die cast cells as needed.

The role emphasizes safety around molten metal, adherence to procedures, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment. 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm, with opportunities at a long-standing, global technology leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical diploma preferred.
• 1+ year forklift experience with license.
• Comfort around heat, noise and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate furnace and melt aluminum ingots or scrap.
• Regulate furnace temperature and feed ingots and scrap to machines.
• Set up die casting cell and assist repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety when filling ladles and operating lift trucks.
