Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Furnace Tender for the 2nd shift at our Sheboygan, WI site. The position operates, inspects, and cleans furnaces and assists with die casting cell setup, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm, onsite at Gardner Denver Thomas facility.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and forklift experience. A technical diploma is preferred and prior furnace or die casting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical diploma preferred.
• Forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operates furnace or furnaces to melt aluminum ingots or scrap used in die casting.
• Regulate furnace temperature and charge furnace with ingots and scrap aluminum as instructed. Deliver metal to die cast machines for operation.
• Maybe required to set-up die casting cell to include ladle, auto-spray, robotic and trim press machines.
• This position is responsible for the safety of others, as it pertains to filling ladles, driving lift trucks, and pouring metal into furnaces at the machines for machine set-up.
