Job summary

Precision International is seeking a full-time Furnace Operator in Sistersville, West Virginia. The position includes safety-focused responsibilities in a foundry environment, with a starting pay of $23 per hour and benefits such as health and 401(k).

Regular hours are Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3 PM. Ideal candidates have foundry experience, ability to work in heat, and forklift/crane operation skills. OSHA safety rules compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Previous foundry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in hot temperatures.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Unpack and inspect cathode block and bars.
• Charge and operate induction furnace.
• Monitor burners during preheating of the bar and block assemblies.
• Measure bar for correct centering and stick out.
• Place kaowool, install and remove dams.
• Operate forklift and crane safely.
• Take cast iron sample for analysis.
• Pour molten metal from the furnace to a ladle.
• Pour molten metal from a ladle into a cathode assembly.
• Adhere to all safety rules enforced by OSHA and Precision International.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

7 AM – 3 PM

Our Furnace Operator will:

• Unpack and inspect cathode block and bars
• Correctly charge and operate induction furnace
• Monitor burners during preheating of the bar & block assemblies
• Measure bar for correct centering and stick out
• Correctly place kaowool, install and remove dams
• Operate fork lift and crane safely
• Take cast iron sample for analysis
• Pour molten metal from the furnace to a ladle
• Pour molten metal from a ladle into a cathode assembly

The right candidate will have:

• Ability to work with regularly moving mechanical parts, machines, and equipment
