Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering with 5+ years furnace/manufacturing experience.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a high-temperature environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, control and maintain furnace and forehearth to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation.
• Monitor energy usage and optimize input to minimize costs.
• Lead safety and housekeeping efforts within assigned areas.
• Develop and implement process improvements using SPC and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Troubleshoot batch, furnace and forehearth operations and document changes.
