Credence is seeking a Future Operations Planner to support the U.S. Space Force S4S S35 Future Operations Division at Vandenberg SFB, CA.

The role requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM, and SAP eligibility and involves translating campaign plans into contingency plans and staff planning for exercises and operations. The successful candidate will coordinate with campaign plans, participate in OPTs, and analyze risks to support warfighters and mission objectives.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI/ACCM/SAP eligibility is required.
• Substantial experience supporting joint future operations, contingency planning, or combatant-command planning.

Responsibilities

• Transition Joint Space Operations Plans into contingency-operations planning.
• Support joint planning under JP 5.0 and joint operations under JP 3.0 series.
• Participate in OPTs to translate guidance into plans and orders for Government approval.
• Analyze threats and conduct risk/trade-off analysis across strategic and tactical options.
• Integrate plans with USSPACECOM and other staff and stakeholders.
• Analyze campaign and contingency plans and recommend actions for warfighters.
• Staff orders and instructions; coordinate meetings and communications for staff decisions.
• Support exercise planning and execution, including travel and extended shifts.

Credence has an upcoming need for a Future Operations Planner to support the U.S. Space Force S4S S35 Future Operations Division at Vandenberg SFB, California. The successful candidate will be an experienced planner who can successfully transition campaign plans into contingency plans, participate in OPTs, develop and staff plans and orders, analyze operational risks and impacts on warfighters, and support joint exercise planning and execution with an active/ current Top-Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM, and SAP eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with S5 Campaign Plans to transition Joint Space Operations Plans and related campaign plans into the contingency-operations planning cycle for a 60-day-to-2-year horizon.
• Support joint planning under Joint Publication 5.0 and joint operations under the Joint Publication 3.0 series.
• Participate in OPTs that translate guidance into plans and orders and produce orders, plans, instructions, presentations, papers, and reports for Government approval.
• Analyze combatant-command and S5 support plans, assess existing and emerging threats, and conduct risk and trade-off analysis across strategic, operational, and tactical options.
• Integrate and synchronize delegated plans, concepts, designs, and methodologies with USSPACECOM, other combatant-command planning staffs, and mission stakeholders.
• Analyze campaign, contingency, and continuity-of-operations plans and recommend actions based on their impact to the warfighter and operational echelon.
• Write and staff orders, plans, and instructions; coordinate meeting locations and communications; invite participants; and provide planning expertise to commander and staff decisions.
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercise planning and execution, including travel, weekends, and extended shifts when required, and use command-directed planning and task-management tools.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI, ACCM, and SAP is required before starting.
• Must have substantial experience supporting joint future operations, contingency planning, combatant-command planning, or Service-component operations.
• Must have strong knowledge of Joint Publication 5.0, the Joint Planning Process, and the Joint Publication 3.0 series.
• Must have experience developing and staffing operational plans, orders, instructions, risk assessments, and senior-leader decision products through OPTs and cross-functional coordination.
• Must have the ability to travel and work extended days, weekends, and shifts up to 12 hours for exercise periods lasting approximately 5 to 14 consecutive days.
• Must have the ability to complete command-provided training and use tools such as GAP CIE, C2IE, and TMT.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or more.
