Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services: set up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services and cremations as directed by management.
• Assist with preparation of remains including dressing and lifting, as permitted by law.
• Answer phones, operate office equipment and systems; run errands as needed.
• Serve as an usher, assist with transportation and parking as required.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Greet families and provide information; assist during visitations and services.

Other general duties include meeting the general public, answering questions and providing information on funeral and cremation information and other related topics, answering phones courteously and in a polite manner, assisting on funeral, memorial and other services or ceremonies as requested by funeral home clients and management.
