Job summary

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services is hiring an Event Planner/Coordinator in Lafayette, CA. You will guide families through funeral arrangements, coordinating with families, staff, vendors, and parish partners to ensure every detail is handled with care.

You will be the primary contact for the funeral services and will communicate and follow through on all aspects of the case with sensitivity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Event planning experience a must.
• An associate’s degree or 60 hours toward an Associate’s Degree (any field).
• Funeral Director license a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License a must.
• Interest in obtaining a funeral license a plus.
• Interest in working in a Catholic environment, all backgrounds welcome to apply.
• Passion for people.
• Ability to coordinate with many internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Great organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Location: Queen of Heaven Cemetery & Funeral Center, Lafayette, CA

*Must have Event Planning experience for large functions OR Funeral Director license*

The FuneralEvent Planner serves the families by guiding them through the process of making informed decisions when arranging a loved one’s funeral with care and compassion.You will be the primary point of contact to families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff for the funeral services.As our FuneralEvent Coordinator, you will communicate, coordinate, and follow-through on all aspects of the funeral service case.

• Funeral DirectorHourly: $28 - $33: DOE
• Event Planner Hourly: $28 - $30: DOE

• Ability to lift or move objects weighing between 75-100 lbs.
