Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
• Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receives or initiates calls to next of kin, discusses needs, schedules arrangements and confirms appointments.
• May perform removals or transfers following company standards; updates status in software.
• Presides as Master of Ceremonies for visitation, funeral, or graveside services consistent with company standards.
• Interacts with family to fulfill death care requests and gathers leads for pre-need services.
• Plans and coordinates event-related aspects: music, flowers, catering, and memorials; prepares properties and decor.
• Works under guidance; ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with families.
