Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Enfield is seeking a part-time team member to support families and communities through compassionate funeral services. The role offers training, a pension scheme and opportunities for career development.

You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am-3pm, with London Allowance included in the pay. The role involves client liaison, administration, basic cash handling, and assisting with the care and preparation of the deceased as required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and calculate simple discounts.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and on the phone with visits and questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work, such as funeral plans, to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and prep of the deceased as needed.
• Update client management applications with timely, accurate information.
