We currently have an opening for a Funeral Attendant at Samaritan Funeral & Cremation in Phoenix, AZ. The Funeral Attendant will set up and assist with viewings, funeral services, memorial services, transfer of remains from the place of death to the funeral home, and other related tasks as assigned by management.

Overview & Responsibilities:

1. Assist the funeral director during funerals and visitations to ensure smooth operations.
2. Maintain a friendly attitude while providing assistance and guidance to all visitors.
3. Help in moving the casketed deceased and related items in and out of visitation areas, chapels, churches, or other service locations.
4. Drive the hearse, family limousine, or other vehicles in the funeral cortege and assist with related activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Caring, empathetic, and dedicated to providing excellent service.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and on an on-call basis as needed.
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and integrity.
• Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs safely.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
