Qualifications

Summary/Objective

This position interacts directly with client families during their time of need and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures that client families and/or other persons entering the office receive the information or assistance they require.
  • Assists the team in the movement of the casketed deceased and other related items in and out of visitation areas, funeral home chapel, church, or other service locations.
  • Ensures that public spaces such as lobby, chapels, restrooms, and reception areas are clean and prepared before and after scheduled services.
  • Assists client families in and out of limousines, with special attention to the handicapped and elderly.
  • Assists in funeral services and visitations, including greeting visitors, coordinating pallbearers, and parking.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licensure

  • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in client relations or related field.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Indoor office setting; outdoor duties may expose to weather, uneven ground, dust, fumes.
  • Use of equipment including computer, fax, copier, phone, AV system, body lift, transport devices, vehicle.
  • Regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, lift to 25 pounds, reach, push, pull.
  • Potential exposure to chemicals and bloodborne pathogens; low risk.
  • Overtime may be necessary.

Travel

  • Up to 10% local and overnight travel, primarily during business hours.
