Neptune Society is hiring a Funeral Arranger in Thousand Oaks, CA to support families and help grow our community presence. The role works closely with the Funeral Director and Location Manager to ensure compassionate service and compliance.

You will interface with families, manage aftercare tasks, and contribute to reports and meetings, using Outlook and MS Office daily. Compensation and benefits accompany a meaningful career in our network.

Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related role.
• State Funeral Director license is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support Funeral Director and Location Manager in growing market share and community involvement.
• Interface with families and provide empathetic assistance.
• Ensure compliance with licensing rules and regulations.
• Handle aftercare tasks including documents, insurance information, and pre-arrangements for next of kin.
• Answer phones, prepare reports, and participate in staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support Funeral Director and Location Manager in retaining heritage and growing market share through active involvement with community.
• Interfacing with families and assisting in providing support.
• Ensure adherence to all professional, municipal, provincial/state and federal licensing authority, regulations and applicable rules.
• Aftercare includes delivery of documents, stationery, documentation, information on insurance, health benefits and pension, pre-arrangements for next of kin.
• Answering phones, preparing reports as necessary and participating in staff meetings.
• Ability to use technology while meeting with families.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Skillfully gather, analyze and trend data.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to occasionally commute as required.
• Excellent knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to listen, understand and communicate solutions to customer issues.
• State Funeral Director license is highly desired.
• 1-2 years of experience.
