Job summary

DLA Piper’s Investment Funds Group seeks an attorney with 1–3 years of experience in fund formation matters. The role may be located in New York, Chicago, or Austin, with a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.

The position involves drafting and negotiating fund organizational documents, investor side letters, and coordinating investor closings. Secondaries experience is a plus. JD required. Lateral AmLaw 100 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• JD required with 1–3 years’ fund formation experience.
• Experience drafting fund organizational documents and investor letters.
• AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients and staff.
• Draft, negotiate and coordinate fund documents and closings.
• Provide timely, high-quality legal work and research.
• Support investor relations and participate in business development as needed.
• Travel as required to client meetings or closings.
