Job summary

Origin Staffing in Boston seeks a Legal & Compliance Paralegal to join the newly formed team. This role supports fund closings, entity management, investor obligations, and recurring compliance workflows.

Responsibilities include maintaining fund documentation, reconciling files, tracking obligations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside counsel, and driving SOP improvements. 3–5+ years of paralegal or compliance experience and entity formation expertise are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of paralegal or legal/compliance experience
• Experience with entity formation and lifecycle management
• Asset management/private equity experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain fund documentation, amendments, consents, deadlines, and trackers
• Reconcile fund files and databases against governing agreements and side letters
• Track investor obligations, including investment restrictions, excuse rights, LPAC consents, and reporting requirements
• Coordinate documentation requests with internal stakeholders and outside counsel
• Manage entity lifecycle matters (formations, dissolutions, name changes, good standing requests, board slates)
• Support AML/KYC requests and investor/counterparty inquiries
• Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices across Legal & Compliance
• Partner with Finance, Investor Relations, and outside counsel on ad hoc matters
