Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home is seeking an Event Coordinator to manage a portfolio of fundraising events and support the philanthropy team. You will work with volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to deliver successful events that advance SCH’s mission.

The role reports to the Director of Philanthropy and requires strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills. Normal hours apply with some weekend involvement for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years coordinating events or related experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SCH events and third-party events with volunteers and sponsors.
• Maintain relationships with community groups and event sponsors.
• Represent the agency at meetings and community events.
• Create event content for newsletters and the SCH website.
• Oversee logistics, vendors, contracts and on-day event execution.
• Coordinate post-event follow-up, acknowledgments, and sponsor communications.
