Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Development Coordinator to support a comprehensive fundraising program under the Financial Development team. You will help maintain donor communications, manage donor records, and assist with event logistics to advance the mission of saving and improving lives through blood services.

The role requires 2+ years in fundraising, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed. Join a mission-driven team in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fundraising experience with 2+ years in development.
• Experience with donor management software (Raiser's Edge, DonorPerfect, or eTapestry) is preferred.
• Experience coordinating fundraising events and donor communications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Financial Development donors stewardship program, including monthly digital communications and impact reports.
• Maintain CRM/database records and process donations, drafting acknowledgement letters and tax receipts.
• Manage logistics for events, including the Annual Gift of Life Benefit and donor events.
• Track donations, pledges, and prepare financial reports.
• Support Senior Director of Development's fundraising initiatives.
• Adhere to policies and standards of the Compliance Program.
