Job summary

Family Sharing Of Ozaukee County in Wisconsin seeks a Development Director to serve as the organization’s chief fundraising professional and strategic advisor on philanthropy, building a comprehensive program from the ground up.

The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, driving annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, donor relations, and a donor experience program while partnering with the Board and staff to expand community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Minimum 5 years of nonprofit fundraising or related development experience.
• Proven success securing major gifts.
• Experience with annual giving campaigns.
• Preferred knowledge of Ozaukee County philanthropic community.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Family Sharing’s first comprehensive fundraising plan.
• Establish annual fundraising goals and performance metrics.
• Analyze and create systems for donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition.
• Develop fundraising policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Incorporate Planned Giving strategies.
• Build out a donor experience program.
• Plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns.
• Increase donor acquisition, retention, and recurring giving.
• Develop direct mail, email, digital, and social fundraising strategies.
• Manage donor acknowledgements and stewardship communications.
• Coordinate volunteer fundraising committees.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Coordinate donor meetings with Family Sharing leadership and board members.
• Research grant opportunities and collaborate with grant writer.
• Cultivate corporate sponsorships and partnerships with Community Engagement Manager.
• Develop matching gift opportunities and explore Planned Giving strategies.
• Partner with the Executive Director and the Board Fundraising and Development Committees.
