Job description

IAP2 is the preeminent international organization advancing the practice of public participation and community engagement. Since its founding in 1990, our mission is to promote and advance public participation and community engagement globally through targeted initiatives guided by culturally adaptive standards of practice and core values. IAP2 is currently undergoing a process of organizational review and change, and we believe that to achieve our mission, additional resources are needed to build capacity, fund strategic initiatives, and expand our impact globally.

Against this background, IAP2 seeks the services of a highly experienced development and fundraising consultant to help build the organization’s fundraising capacity and develop a strategic fundraising and sustainability plan to diversify and expand revenue sources. To accomplish this scope of work, we are seeking proposals from a consultant who has:

• Demonstrated experience with nonprofit fundraising in an international context
• Success with creative revenue development strategies and a variety of funding sources, including endowment and major gift fundraising
• Experience working with organizations with limited fundraising experience
• A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across time zones, languages, and cultures
