Job summary

Institute for Family Development (IFD) in Washington state seeks an experienced Fundraising Manager to lead the development and implementation of the agency's fundraising program. The role partners with the Executive Director to cultivate relationships with foundations, government agencies, and corporations.

You will manage proposal development, grant writing, and reporting, while coordinating with programs, finance, and leadership to advance IFD's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, grant development, philanthropy.
• Proven success identifying funding opportunities and securing funding.
• Experience developing or maintaining grant/donor pipelines preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and use judgment for quality and accuracy.
• Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies from foundations, government, corporations.
• Identify prospective funders aligned with mission and priorities.
• Maintain a pipeline of funders; track opportunities and deadlines.
• Coordinate with staff to develop proposals, reports, and letters of inquiry.
• Lead grant writing and submission with administrative support.
• Develop funding communications and materials for stakeholders.
• Maintain fundraising records and use databases to document outcomes.
