Job summary

The Office of Research and Innovation at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Funding Opportunity Coordinator to curate funding opportunities, perform targeted searches, and manage limited submissions. This role supports faculty and aligns with UNL’s land-grant mission and priorities.

Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree with five years in proposal development or project management in higher education, plus experience delivering training and developing shared resources.

The funding opportunity coordinator will contribute to Nebraska’s land-grant mission in significant and essential ways by: 1) curating and disseminating funding opportunities that align with institutional eligibility and expertise; 2) providing targeted funding opportunity searches for individual scholars and projects; 3) managing and innovating limited submission; and 4) conducting research and outreach around funding opportunities to enhance faculty competitiveness and advance institutional priorities.

  • Master’s degree and five years of proposal and/or research development or project management experience working in higher education in a high-volume, high-production, and/or sponsored research-intensive environment.
  • Experience preparing and delivering training programs and shared resources and tools helpful.
