Flagstar Bank is seeking a Documentation & Funding Manager for Equipment Finance in Capital Markets. The role focuses on managing the regional indirect channel’s documentation preparation, review, and funding coordination to ensure timely, compliant funding.

The candidate will guide junior staff, optimize processes, and participate in structuring and negotiating complex transactions while maintaining strong client relationships across the bank.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
• Minimum experience: 6+ years banking/finance experience in a commercial lending environment.
• Prior management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional indirect channel including documentation preparation, review, and funding coordination.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely funding and accurate client communication.
• Serve as liaison between leadership and sales officers on workflow and deal closure.
• Assist in developing procedures for the regional direct business channel and mentor junior staff.
• Assist in structuring complex transactions in line with industry practice and bank standards.
• Review and negotiate documentation modifications requested by clients and make informed decisions.
• Approve high-level funding and documentation exceptions in line with policies.
• Perform quality control on transactions prepared by junior staff.
• Calculate incentive credits and report to executive management.
