Job summary

The Voleon Group in the United States is seeking a Tax Associate to support tax compliance for its flagship funds and multi-entity structures. You will work directly with the Tax Manager and collaborate across Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Operations, contributing to scalable tax processes and timely filings.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of tax experience, preferably at a Big 4 or national firm.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance for partnerships (Form 1065).
• Experience with onshore (U.S.) and offshore (Cayman) fund structures is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax reporting tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform first level review of tax returns, Schedule K-1s, workpapers, and supporting schedules prepared by external advisors, summarizing and flagging items for Tax Manager review
• Assist in maintaining the tax compliance calendar, trackers, and supporting documentation across all entities, proactively flagging deadlines for annual filings, registrations, and tax notices to ensure timely, accurate compliance
• Help coordinate the collection, tracking, and review of tax documents and related investor requests
• Prepare ad-hoc special projects and tax-related requests from various investors with accuracy and timeliness
• Support tax process improvement through automation, documentation, and internal knowledge to increase efficiency
• Assist with researching tax issues and regulatory changes relevant to existing and future funds
• Provide support to the Fund Accounting team on various tasks during the off-peak tax season
