Job summary

Alter Domus seeks a Fund Accountant, Tax in Utah to join either our Salt Lake City or Ogden offices. You will prepare and file tax returns for clients, gaining specialized experience in partnership tax and the alternative investment industry.

You will collect information, prepare workpapers, and collaborate with interns and staff to deliver timely tax reporting and compliance for US filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized and proactive with strong follow-through.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely with team members.

Responsibilities

• Collect financial and other information from clients or internal teams.
• Prepare tax workpapers including allocations and all tax related information for the year.
• Coordinate the work with interns and other internal resources for assigned clients.
• Prepare federal and state tax returns using tax prep software and file with authorities.
• Gather and analyze financial information for US filings (PFIC, CFCs, 926 forms).
• Prepare and manage 1099, 1042, and FATCA/CRS reporting.
• Develop relationships with client management and communicate engagement status.
