Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) is seeking a RISD Fund Officer to join its Institutional Advancement team. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors for the RISD Fund, with an annual plan to engage 150 prospective and current donors.

The officer collaborates with Alumni + Family Relations and the Executive Director to create personalized engagement plans and to build a pipeline for major gifts ($100,000+). Equity-minded candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors for the RISD Fund.
• Develop an annual plan to cultivate and solicit a portfolio of 150 prospective and current donors.
• Conduct at least 150 personal visits annually.
• Create personalized engagement plans for each assigned prospect.
• Collaborate with Alumni + Family Relations and with the Executive Director, RISD Fund for 1877 Society and Families Association Leadership Council opportunities.
• Assess giving capacity and philanthropic interests of assigned individuals and recommend those with major gift capacity for assignment to Philanthropy Officers.
