Blackstone seeks an experienced fund formation attorney to join its centralized fund formation team in New York. The role covers launch of new fund products, drafting LPAs and fund documents, coordinating with outside counsel and business teams, and driving fund closings.

The candidate should have 6+ years of fund formation experience, in-house or law firm, with knowledge of closed-end funds, waterfalls and LP protections. Equity incentives and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of experience practicing fund formation law (in-house or law firm)
• Hands‑on experience drafting fund documentation
• Technical understanding of closed-end private funds, fund economics, waterfalls and LP protections
• Experience with open-ended private funds is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaborative skills

Aufgaben

• Assist with launching new fund products across Blackstone's platform, advising on structure, regulatory considerations and timelines
• Coordinate with outside counsel and business groups on fund formation, capital formation and structuring
• Interact with Institutional Client Solutions, business teams and L&C
• Draft and negotiate LPAs, side letters, MFN elections, subscription documents and other fund documents
• Help manage fund closings and coordinate with stakeholders to complete subscriptions
