Job summary

Atlas Search in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Controller for a leading private equity real estate fund. This role offers ownership across the fund lifecycle beyond traditional close duties, with exposure to fund accounting, operations, and investor reporting.

You will oversee third-party administration, manage capital calls and distributions, review waterfall calculations under US GAAP and IFRS, and partner with investment, finance, tax, and operations teams while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting for real estate or private equity funds.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• CPA designation and Investran experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting and third-party administrator oversight.
• Manage capital calls, distributions, liquidity, and credit facility activity.
• Review waterfalls, management fees, and investor reporting.
• Coordinate forecasting, treasury, and tax structures with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and direct junior team members to develop leadership capability.
