Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a Fund Controller to lead the financial reporting and administration operations for our clients. This role collaborates with the Engagement Manager on fund accounting, capital accounts, and financial statement prep.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in public accounting (or equivalent), experience with private equity/VC fund structures, and strong MS Office skills. This position is based in Seattle with occasional client-site travel and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• CPA is a plus.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of information/data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners.

• Some local travel to Client sites as needed.

The Fund Controller at Standish works with other team members to lead the financial reporting and administration operations of our clients. In conjunction with the Engagement Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation for clients.

Essential Functions

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process
• Assisting with the preparation of information and data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent
• CPA is a plus
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook

Compensation Range

• $85,000 - $100,000 annually
• Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
