Job summary

Standish Management, LLC seeks a Fund Controller to lead financial reporting and administration for clients. The role partners with the Engagement Manager to manage fund accounting, capital accounts, and financial statement preparation.

The job requires a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Economics and 2+ years of public accounting or equivalent; CPA is a plus. A flexible work environment and strong benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
• 2+ years public accounting experience or equivalent.
• CPA is a plus.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process.
• Assisting with the preparation of information and data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners.
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems.
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed.

In conjunction with the Engagement Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation for clients.

Essential Functions

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process
• Assisting with the preparation of information and data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred)
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent
• CPA is a plus
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook

Compensation Range

• $90,000 - $110,000 annually
• Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
