The ideal candidate has CPA credentials and 10+ years in progressive accounting roles, with experience in funds, NAV reviews, and complex allocations.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with closed-end/open-end funds, REITs, joint ventures, capital calls, investor reporting, waterfall calculations, and fund administration.
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple real estate investment funds.
• Review NAV calculations, investor reporting, and financial statements prepared by third-party fund administrators.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, partnership agreements, and fund governing documents.
• Oversee accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing transactions, capital calls, and investor distributions.
• Review management fees, partnership allocations, carried interest, and waterfall calculations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash forecasting, portfolio reporting, and fund performance analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Controllers, Fund Controllers, and Fund Accountants.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and resolve complex accounting matters.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting, and regulatory reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally with Investment Management, Asset Management, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations.
