Job summary

JSB Partners, LLC. is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting/Trade Operations professional in New York City. The role sits at the intersection of fund accounting, trade support, and investor reporting, owning reconciliation and month-end processes while overseeing the fund administrator and serving as the point of contact for the PM team.

The position is based in NYC with a strong, collaborative Finance team and expectation to contribute to operational excellence and timely, accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hedge fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of long/short equity strategies and partnership accounting.
• Advanced Excel and experience with accounting/reporting systems.
• Clear communication and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly trade, cash, and position reconciliations.
• Review NAV packages from the fund administrator, including investor allocations, management and performance fee calculations, and capital activity.
• Lead the month-end close of the books, including preparation of the monthly trial balance and investor allocations.
• Assist with trade booking and settlement, including investigating and resolving trade fails.
• Support day-to-day operations and serve as a knowledgeable contact for the portfolio manager(s), able to discuss positions, activity, and operational matters.
• Partner cross-functionally with the administrator, prime brokers, and internal teams to resolve breaks and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
