Job summary

Sixth Street is seeking a meticulous Fund Accountant to join a dedicated team supporting the accounting, financial reporting and investor relations for two BDCs. You will book investment activity, reconcile cash, assist with SEC filings and internal controls, and interact with auditors and service providers.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong understanding of accounting rules and industry practices
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• 2–5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, debt investments, fund administration, or private equity/investment management

Responsibilities

• Book investment activity in Advent Geneva
• Reconcile cash activity with Administrator (State Street)
• Assist in oversight of accounting functions by Administrator
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
• Assist with preparation of SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
• Gather information for financial statements and audit requests
• Assist with compliance reports (credit facility, BDC/RIC)
• Develop and maintain internal controls and processes
• Identify and solve accounting/reporting issues
• Interface with external and internal auditors and service providers
