Job summary

Irenic Capital Management is an investment firm in Columbus, Ohio, hiring a Fund Accounting & Operations Manager to support the back office and partner with the CFO/CCO. The role provides exposure across funds and room to grow as the firm scales.

Responsibilities include NAV reconciliation, financial statement preparation with external auditors, tax process coordination, and treasury functions related to capital calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
• 5–10 years of experience in fund accounting, investor reporting, or trade operations.
• Experience with fund accounting, hedge funds, or fund administrators.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Enfusion.
• Detail oriented, flexible, and able to work in a team as well as independently.
• Experience with financial statements / audit process.
• Aptitude for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with NAV reconciliation, investor allocations, statements, and fee calculations.
• Support preparing and reviewing financial statements with auditors and fund administrator.
• Assist with annual tax return process across all fund entities and K-1 coordination.
• Oversee trade allocation, PnL, exposure reporting, and treasury related to capital calls.
• Collaborate with outsourced providers for cash/position reconciliation and trade affirmations.
• Liaise with counterparties and fund administrator on portfolio/trade issues.
• Support spend management, budgeting, and invoicing across entities; coordinate approvals.
• Assist with regulatory filings (13F, Form PF, Form ADV).
• Participate in launching new funds and SPVs, including document reviews and account openings.
• Prepare ad hoc requests from management and investment teams.
• Support investor relations with capital account statements and periodic reporting.
• Assist with management company financials, budgeting, and expense allocations.
