Job summary

SS&C Technologies is seeking a Manager, Private Equity - Fund Accounting in Edina, MN (hybrid) to lead a fund accounting team delivering accurate reporting for hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment products. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, client collaboration and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in financial markets accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience with 2+ years financial markets accounting experience
• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Strong dispute resolution and effective problem solving skills
• Strong organizational and detail oriented skills with proven ability to manage and prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced with internal control processes
• Demonstrated customer service and continuous improvement focus
• Demonstrated leadership in managing, coaching/developing, and motivating team members
• Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced work environment
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of financial markets securities
• Knowledge, experience and skills in the use of PC-based systems including MS Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering accurate accounting and reporting services for hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment products
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end NAVs, and P&L reporting
• Mentor and develop team members and provide coaching
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to drive process improvements
• Be involved in projects to improve workflows and controls
• Respond to requests from portfolio managers, auditors and Global Fund Services management
