Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a fund accounting professional to oversee financial statements, NAV calculations, and capital accounts for a flagship investment vehicle. The role involves quarter-end and year-end closes, capital calls, and investor allocations with collaboration across auditors and fund administrators.

The candidate should have CPA credentials and 5–8 years of fund accounting experience, preferably from public accounting, working in a high-transaction environment with strong controls

Qualifications

• CPA Required.
• 5-8 years of experience preferably with public accounting and Fund Accounting Experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of fund-level financial statements, NAV calculations, and capital account statements.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Review and approve capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
• Ensure compliance with partnership agreements, PPMs, and applicable accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and fund administrators on audits, tax filings (K-1s), and regulatory reporting.
• Supervise, train, and mentor fund accounting staff; review their work for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation.
• Support ad hoc projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and special reporting requests.
