Job summary

3 Bridge Networks in Boston is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its collaborative finance team. You will oversee day-to-day fund accounting, reporting, and operational finance in venture capital and private equity environments, working with investment professionals and external providers.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in fund accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience coordinating with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of progressive fund accounting or investment management experience.
• Experience supporting venture capital, private equity, hedge funds or other alternative investments.
• Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, management fees, and investor reporting.
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting systems.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day fund accounting across venture capital and private equity funds.
• Oversee quarterly and annual fund closes, NAVs, financial statements, capital accounts, and supporting schedules.
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, expense allocations, and carried interest calculations.
• Partner with third-party fund administrators to ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review investor reporting, capital account statements, and other LP deliverables.
• Coordinate audit and tax processes with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.
• Support cash management, fund liquidity planning, and capital activity.
• Assist with portfolio investment reporting and ad hoc analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Help improve fund accounting processes, controls, reporting, and documentation as the platform grows.
• Work closely with investment, legal, operations, and investor relations teams.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, as applicable.
