Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our fund administration team. You will prepare fund-level financial statements, update investment schedules, and analyze complex transactions for domestic and offshore funds.

You will help with portfolio reviews, ensure compliance with partnership agreements, and support audits and capital calls. A collaborative, detail-oriented candidate will thrive in this hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a full-time role.
• Strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks (not required, is a plus).
• Knowledge of various investment accounting concepts.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for domestic and offshore fund families, including portfolio schedules and partner equity allocations.
• Assist with semi-annual portfolio review by analyzing financial performance.
• Monitor compliance with complex partnership agreements.
• Assist with audits, tax return reviews, fundraising and meetings.
• Determine cash needs of partnerships and initiate capital calls.
• Distribute financials, K1s, capital calls and notices to Limited Partners.
• Perform special projects for General Partners and Controllers.
• Respond to ad hoc limited partner requests.
